If you're in or near Georgia and you want a garden inspired wedding or event, the Wildflower 301 in Greensboro, Georgia is your place. When Emily & Brian reached out to me initially and let me know their venue choice, I couldn't help but become excited and eager to be the one to help them photograph their wedding day. Lucky for me, Emily and Brian are equally just as special as you can easily see how fun their relationship is as well as their undeniable love for each other. I just knew their day would be just as stunning as it was special.
It was the perfect day in May to have a wedding as the day before had brought some rain. Both Brian and Emily surrounded themselves with their family and friends for the getting ready portion of their day. Starbucks, a sweet letter, and bride and groom gifts are the best way to kick off your special day. All smiles and laughter, they were just moments away from seeing each other.
Emily and Brian decided on a first look during our consultation. They wanted a private moment to themselves during their cocktail hour to enjoy not only each other's company, but also their appetizers and a drink. Their first look went perfectly and they spend several minutes joking and loving each other before moving to their private vows.
Their ceremony spot at the Wildflower 301 is the perfect spot to say, "I do". The sunlight filters through the trees behind the arches and makes for stunning photos. Not to mention the white painted arched and wooden platform helps highlight any florals and the couple themselves.
For their couple portraits, we split the time between by capturing photos after the first look and during Golden Hour. Regardless of time of day the Wildflower is the perfect back drop for your wedding day.
Emily and Brian's evening concluded with some private time to eat their appetizers, unburying the bourbon and dancing the night away. One of my favorite moments of the evening is watching Brian dance with his grandmother. Moments like that always remind me why I love what I do- photography isn't just about pretty photos; it's about preserving emotion, connection and the heart of the day you never want to forget. We finished the night with a private, last dance and a sparkler exit.
Wishing Emily and Brian the best on their new journey.
