If you live in the South, you know summer's can be brutal. While it may not the ideal temperature outside, Summer in Georgia is remarkably beautiful. The greens are at their best (depending on rain fall), the flowers are in full bloom. Barn South has Crepe Myrtles to top it off which are my favorite trees to capture stunning wedding portraits with. Well, really any portrait. Alissa and Grant's wedding day was truly a stunning day, with plenty of sunshine and then some shade at the perfect time for the ceremony. Elements of pink florals, borrowed items, hand-made trinkets and wedding decorations topped with the love and laughter of friends and family.
Beginning the wedding day with Alissa's details and capturing candids of her and her best ladies. Their family busily setting up, but not too busy to make sure I was accommodated in what I needed. Hair and make up already underway, everything was looking beautiful already. Grant and his best guys which happen to be their sons set the tone of the day with some football passes.
With a 'Traditional Timeline' in place, we took time to photograph bridal parties separately, prioritizing the beautiful venue Barn South has to offer for the background with rolling hills and luscious tree line.
Alissa and Grant's ceremony took place at 6p, which was the perfect timeframe for their July Wedding. The clouds moved in just in time and left just in time for their couple portraits. The space for the ceremony at Barn South could be done inside or outside. It provides modern, white barn-style house with an ideal exterior and lush landscaping surrounded by green trees. Their lawn was lined with wooden cross-back chairs with white fabric ribbon. To add to the elegance, the chairs were set with fans for the guests. White fabric and florals draped the wooden cross for Alissa and Grant to say their I-dos. They finished their vows with a sweet kiss and the cutest hand shake.
Following the ceremony we captured Family Formals and Couple Portraits. You cannot convince me that Alissa could take a bad image. These bridal portraits of her are some of my favorites. The classic, white bouquet and the intricate details of her dress just made her sparkle more.
Their evening began with their introductions and first dances. Buffet style dinner with delicious Greek inspired cuisine. The cake cutting followed by opening up the dance floor where Alissa and Grant celebrated with the family and friends into the night. A classic sparkler exit to end their perfect wedding day.
I feel so incredibly lucky to have been referred to Alissa and Grant for their wedding day. I couldn't have asked for a sweeter couple and really enjoyed my time with them from their engagement session to their wedding day. Wishing them a beautiful, forever marriage.
